Business Development Manager (IP Litigation)

McDermott Will & Emery, a leading international law firm, is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to support our Intellectual Property Litigation practice group.

The Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for implementing the Firm's revenue enhancement strategies. This position will identify, analyze and execute business development strategies aimed at existing and prospective clients.

This role will support the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice on a firmwide basis and will be based in either the Menlo Park, Boston or Washington D.C. office.

Bachelors degree is required, MBA is a plus.

7- 10 years experience in business development or marketing within a law firm or professional services firm required.

Previous experience in IP Litigation required.

Previous management experience desired.

Strong business development and business analysis skills with good commercial instincts and results orientation in a fast-paced environment.

Highly proactive, confident with effective client focus as well as experience in dealing with senior management .

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver presentations clearly and concisely.

Proficient in web-based applications for business intelligence (including OneSource, Capital IQ, atVantage, Hoover's, Bloomberg) and experience with ContactNet, Interaction and profitability software.

Well-developed coaching and presentation skills.
