Bookstore. An extensive collection of books is available for purchase in the areas of Communications and General Management, Client Services and Marketing, Financial Management, Human Resources, Legal Industry, and Office Operations.

Business Partners. Find information on Business Partners who provide services to the legal industry. Business Partners are a great resource and are often possess specific expertise in their niche markets.

Career Center. Job seekers can post their résumé or search the database for open positions posted by employers.

Compensation and Benefits Survey . ALA conducts and publishes a comprehensive survey of salary and benefits for positions within the law firm and corporate legal sectors. Information is gathered from the United States and Canada and data in categories such as: position, type of organization, geographic location, experience and other information. Members are encouraged to participate in the survey to improve the accuracy and quality of the data. The survey itself can be purchased at the ALA Bookstore. Look for it in the Financial Management section.

Certified Legal Manager (CLM)SM Certification . The ALA offers legal administrators the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of the body of knowledge necessary for successful performance in managing a law firm or office by earning the designation of Certified Legal ManagerSM.

Education. In addition to local chapter seminars, the ALA offers number of other high-quality, competency-based educational opportunities.

LMRC (Legal Management Resource Center). The LMRC is designed to immediately provide the information you need or to quickly direct you to other resources, mostly on the Internet, where the knowledge you seek can be found. Start exploring and using this new resource today!

Management Encyclopedia provides a wealth of comprehensive and timely original articles on the topics you need most to efficiently and successfully manage your law firm, corporate legal department or government agency.

Management Solutions is a reference service for ALA members. Its purpose is to help you find targeted information and answers to legal management questions. The ALA Management SolutionsSM service consists of three major components: the Reference Desk, Documents-on-Demand and Peer Consulting. Members-only access -- log in and password required.

Chapter Resources
